Chrys Peterson

Chrys Peterson is an engaging facilitator with a passion for helping leaders develop the skills they need to thrive. Her style of training creates an environment where participants feel secure sharing and engaging with one another.
Chrys combines compassion and servant leadership with humor and business insight to help others realize their leadership potential. She is comfortable and successful with all levels of employees, from front-line workers to C-suite leaders, due to three decades of experience in TV news and community leadership.
A six-time Emmy® Award recipient and an Associated Press Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee, Chrys worked for 28 years as a TV news anchor and reporter, providing a calm, experienced voice during big news events and telling stories that impacted her community. Since leaving TV news in 2014, she has shared her media and communications expertise with dozens of businesses and charitable organizations and is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities.
Chrys has a master’s degree in organizational leadership and has worked with companies all over the world helping their leaders build skills to thrive. She has expertise in Communication; Leading Situationally; Media Relations; Mission, Vision, Values; and Crisis Communication.

Chrys is actively involved in her community. She has helped raise millions of dollars for breast cancer education, treatment, and research as honorary chair of the NW Ohio Komen Race for the Cure for the past 32 years. She also volunteers on the boards of the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce, Lourdes University, the Toledo Police Foundation, and HearAide. Chrys is an in-demand emcee and speaker, booking some 40 events each year.
