Recruiting and hiring the right people is by far the most important part of any organization’s business plan. We know that candidates are not only evaluating the position, and your company culture and benefits package, but also whether Cleveland is the right place for them.
ERC and Cleveland Magazine are passionate advocates for the great quality of life available here in Northeast Ohio, which is why we are excited to partner and launch our Talent Ambassador Program. This Program is aimed at helping recruiters create an exceptionally talented workforce by providing the tools you need to help candidates fall in love with Cleveland as a great place to work and live.

ERC is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Today, our staff took time out of the workday to volunteer at MedWish International. We helped repurpose discarded medical supplies and equipment for humanitarian aid in developing countries.
“I was blown away by all MedWish International does as an organization. And also the impact that our organization made by volunteering! I believe that we receive more by giving more,” said ERC President Kelly Keefe. “Each day, I truly grow more grateful to be surrounded by such talented, dedicated, and all-around good colleagues.”
ERC’s heart for service also extends throughout the year. Twice a month, our staff members take turns delivering meals to homebound, disabled, and elderly residents who are unable to shop or prepare meals as part of the Hillcrest Meals on Wheels program.

ERC is serious about making workplaces great. We created and cultivate an “F” workplace culture: Family-First, Fun, Flexible, Fitness-Minded, Footprint-Light, and Financially Supportive to employees. This week, ERC’s Fun Committee organized the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt for all staff in the office. This fun activity was organized because ERC understands a positive employee experience is crucial to the health of the organization.

Spring has sprung, and it’s (almost) time to put away your winter coat. During any workplace season, it’s easy in HR to get caught up in managing the day-to-day, so we’ve put together a list of items you should consider adding to your master clean-up list.

ERC president Kelly Keefe was recently invited to iHeartMedia’s radio studios in Independence for an interview on the network’s Cleveland CEOs You Should Know program. As HR leaders and professionals continue to fight for (and maintain) their seat at the table, it’s important to move beyond just being an expert into a role of being a trusted advisor to the organization.
